Jack Hudson has been selected as the Suburban Transit GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week for his runner-up finish at the NCAA finals over the weekend.
Hudson won 17 of his 23 pool bouts to qualify to the top four in men's épée, and then he defeated Lewis Weiss of Ohio State 14-13 in the semifinals to earn a final berth. Columbia's Jake Hoyle defeated Hudson 15-11 there, but Hudson earned All-America honors for the second straight year. He made the semifinals a year ago as a sophomore but saw his run end there, moving one spot closer to an individual title this time.
As a team, Princeton finished fourth at the NCAA Championships, becoming the only team to win a trophy (top four) in each of the last five years.
