Jake Froccaro To Miss The Remainder Of The Men's Lacrosse Season
March 26, 2015 | Men's Lacrosse
Jake Froccaro, a preseason third-team All-America and Princeton's leading returning goal scorer from a year ago, will miss the remainder of the 2015 season due to a concussion.
Froccaro played in only two games this season, the opener against Manhattan and then against Maryland. He had three assists against Manhattan and then a goal against the Terrapins.
Froccaro will withdraw from school and return next spring as a junior with two seasons of eligibility.
Princeton had two preseason All-Americas, Froccaro and defenseman Will Reynolds, both of whom will have missed the majority of the 2015 season with concussions.
Froccaro scored 27 goals as a sophomore and had 51 for his first two years, making him the only midfielder in program history to reach 50 by the end of his sophomore year. He was the 2013 Ivy League Rookie of the Year and a 2014 second-team All-Ivy League selection.
Princeton hosts Brown Sunday at 11 am on ESPNU.
