March 5 TigerCast: Chris Ayres & Sean Wilkinson
March 05, 2015 | General, Men's Squash, Wrestling
Head coaches Chris Ayres (wrestling) and Sean Wilkinson (men's squash) join the first March edition of TigerCast.
Ayres will lead his squad to the 2015 EIWA Championships this weekend at Lehigh. The Tigers had six wrestlers earn preseeds for the championship event, including top-seeded Abram Ayala at 197. Ayres, a former EIWA champion as an undergraduate at Lehigh, talks about his team's outlook this weekend and how special the event remains to him.
Wilkinson is coming off an emotional second season as head coach of Princeton men's squash. The program lost legendary head coach Bob Callahan in January following a lengthy, courageous battle against a brain tumor, and the Tigers responded 24 hours later with a thrilling win over Penn. Wilkinson talks about what his first two years have been like, the highs and lows of the past season and the legacy of seniors Samuel Kang and Tyler Osborne.
