Kip Orban Named USILA Scholar All-America
May 18, 2015 | Men's Lacrosse
Kip Orban did more in his time at Princeton than just lead Division I midfielders in goals scored.
Orban, a politics major, has been named a USILA Scholar All-America, in recognition of his accomplishments as a student, in addition to as a lacrosse player.
The USILA honored 127 players across all three Divisions as Scholar All-Americas.
Orban led Division I midfielders with 45 goals this season, a single-season record for a Princeton midfielder. He also had exactly 100 goals for his career, leaving him 11th all-time at Princeton - and third among middies.
He was a 2015 unanimous first-team All-Ivy League selection.
The Westport, Conn., native was drafted by the Charlotte Hounds of Major League Lacrosse. He will find out about his All-America honor this week.
Orban is one of nine Ivy League players - including five who were first-team All-Ivy - to receive USILA Scholar All-America honors.
