MEN'S SOCCER: FIU 2, Princeton 1
Senior Thomas Sanner scored in the 9th minute to give Princeton a 1-0 lead, but FIU rallied scoring two second-half goals to take the game 2-1. In a homecoming match, senior Nico Hurtado had an assist with the corner kick that led to Sanner's goal.
MEN'S WATER POLO: Princeton 16, Harvard 12
The 11th-ranked Princeton men's water polo team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 16-12 win over Harvard University. Thomas Nelson and Michael Swart each netted four goals to lead the Tigers' attack, while Vojislav Mitrovic made 11 saves.
MEN'S TENNIS: Penn Invitational Day 2
On the second day of Princeton's first competition of the fall, Princeton took five of eight doubles matches and 12 of 16 singles matches primarily against players from Buffalo and William and Mary at the Penn Invitational.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Princeton 3, Hartford 0
Following her 17-kill effort in the morning, Kendall Peterkin recorded 13 kills on 21 swings to lead Princeton past Hartford in the final match of the Hofstra Invitational. The freshman tandem of Nnenna Ibe and Brittany Smith combined for 12 kills on only 17 swings, and neither recorded an error.
FIELD HOCKEY: Princeton 5, Bucknell 1
Field hockey picked up its first win of the season with a decisive 5-1 victory over Bucknell in Lewisburg, Pa. Freshman Nicole Catalino netted a pair of goals to lead a Princeton offense that finished with a 16-4 shot advantage and a 5-3 edge in penalty corners.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Florida Gulf Coast 3, Princeton 1
Despite 17 kills and four blocks from senior co-captain Kendall Peterkin, the Princeton women's volleyball team fell 3-1 (29-27, 21-25, 25-17, 25-22) to Florida Gulf Coast during the ASICS Invitational at Hofstra. Cara Mattaliano added 12 kills for the Tigers, who return to the court at 3 pm to take on Hofstra.
