No. 11 Princeton Men's Water Polo Trips Up Harvard, 16-12

PRINCETON, N.J. – Thomas Nelson and Michael Swart each netted four goals to lead the 11th-ranked Princeton University men's water polo team to a 16-12 win over Harvard University.
Up 5-4 at the end of the first quarter, the Tigers once again edged out the Crimson, 5-4, in the second to carry a two-goal lead into the intermission. Notching three of the five scores in the third period, Princeton held a 3-2 scoring edge in the final eight minutes en route to a 16-12 victory.
Nelson drew two ejections to go along with his four goals, while Swart dished out four helpers. Jovan Jeremic, Matt Payne, and Connor McGoldrick each had a pair of scores, while Jamie Kuprenas and Curtis Fink also got on the board. Kuprenas, Jordan Colina, Ryan Wilson, and Bradley Wachtell each had an assist.
Playing all 32 minutes, Vojislav Mitrovic made 11 saves. Turning away four shots in the first half, Mitrovic made five stops in the third period. Tacking on two more saves in the fourth, Mitrovic posted his highest save total of the season.
The Tigers return to action on Sunday, Sept. 13 against Pacific. Sunday's contest will be broadcast by ESPNU.
