PRINCETON, N.J. – A three-goal spurt over during a 44-second span of the third quarter proved to be the difference as No. 14 Princeton bested the No. 15 Brown Bears, 11-7, at DeNunzio Pool on Saturday evening. The Tigers improved to 10-5 overall and 3-0 in NWPC.
Sophomore Matt Payne registered his seventh hat trick of the season while sophomore Ryan Wilson secured a team-high four points. Princeton finished the night with 13 steals and drew eight ejections in the win.

Head coach Luis Nicolao's team registered four of the first five goals of the game and would take a 5-2 lead into halftime. After Brown scored the first tally of the third quarter, Princeton collected three consecutive goals in a 44-second time frame to jump ahead 8-3 with 5:19 remaining in the stanza. The Bears briefly stopped momentum with a goal, but the Tigers converted the next two to seize control of the match and go on to victory.
