PRINCETON, N.J. (1015/16) - Sophomore Allie Klimkiewicz led the Princeton squad to an 11th place finish at the Princeton Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 15. Just one day after sending its top group out to the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, the program was back at it, hosting a 6k race this afternoon on West Windsor Fields.
Klimkiewicz was the first Tiger to cross the line, in 27th place, with a time of 22:09.1. Sophomore Lauren Hergenrother was 45th at 22:31.6 followed by senior Amanda Chang at 22:47.0. Senior Mary Hui was the final runner under 23 minutes at 22:58.3 and junior Mallory Edens rounded out the scorers with a time of 23:02.2. Sophomores MIm Buscher and Madison Offstein weren't far behind as the No. 6-7 runners.
Iona won the meet with a score of 91 thanks to a win by senior Teghan Henderson at 21:11.4.
The Tigers have two weeks to prepare for the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships. Those will occur right here in Princeton on Saturday, Oct. 29.
