Mar. 10 TigerCast: Kimberly Newell and Ryan Ambler
March 10, 2016 | General, Men's Lacrosse, Women's Ice Hockey
Kimberly Newell (women's ice hockey) and Ryan Ambler (men's lacrosse) join the latest edition of TigerCast before big weekends for their respective teams.
Newell will lead the women's hockey team into its first NCAA Championships game since the 2006 season this weekend. The Ivy League champion Tigers will take on the University of Minnesota Saturday at 5 pm after earning an at-large bid to the postseason. The veteran goaltender looks back on what made this season so special, including a pair of young defenders, and talks about the second life that the women's hockey team received this weekend.
Ambler is the captain of the men's lacrosse team, which will host Maryland Saturday at noon on ESPNU. The offensive standout is looking to give the Tigers their first ranked win of the season, as well as establishing a strong home presence during a season with several top opponents coming to Princeton.
