Princetonians Tiger Up On TAGD, Shatter Fundraising Records

The TAGD buzzer has sounded!
The 24-hour fundraising competition has officially ended and the Princeton Department of Athletics would like to thank the THOUSANDS of donors who once again showed their stripes and answered our call to help provide our student-athletes with the best possible Princeton experience.
"Once again, Tiger Nation showed up in record-breaking numbers on TAGD," said Ford Family Director of Athletics Mollie Marcoux Samaan. "I know I speak for our coaches and student-athletes when I say thank you. I am so proud to be a Tiger and am humbled by your commitment to the work we do. We wouldn't be able to provide our student-athletes with the opportunity to achieve, serve and lead without the enthusiastic support of our alumni, parents, friends and fans."
In addition to being a day for the whole Princeton community to come together in support of our student-athletes and coaches, TAGD offers Princeton's 17 Athletic Friends Groups the opportunity to compete against one another in a fundraising battle for donors and dollars raised. To find out who came out on top in the different competitions, visit the TAGD leaderboards, which have now been made official.
TAGD BY THE NUMBERS:
$2.4 million – dollars raised in support of Princeton Athletics in 24-hours, an increase of $500,000 from the $1.9M raised on TAGD in 2016
8,000+ - donors gave more than $20 in support of an Athletics Friends Group or the Princeton Varsity Club
15 – new lifetime members were welcomed into the Princeton Varsity Club
12 – Athletics Friends Groups that outperformed their 2016 TAGD totals, with three groups raising over $200,000 on the day

Individual teams and the Department of Athletics launched an aggressive social media campaign to promote the event, which added an additional element of creativity and fun to the friendly competition.
