WATCH: Live Video Stream
The 10th-ranked Princeton men's squash team has been a point here, a match there, away from a return trip to the top flight of the CSA team championships, which will be held in two weeks at Harvard. The Tigers have fallen just short of a Top-10 win this season, but they'll get another chance Wednesday night when they welcome the fifth-ranked Drexel Dragons to the Jadwin Squash Courts.
Princeton will take on the Dragons at 6 pm Wednesday night in a two-shift match, and all courts will be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
Drexel enters the match with a 10-4 record, including four straight victories. Two weekends ago, Drexel posted tight home wins over both Yale and Dartmouth. The only losses for Drexel this season have come to teams currently ranked in the top four nationally.
A young Princeton team has grown leaps and bounds since last season, as shown in dramatic improvements against the likes of Penn, Yale and Dartmouth. However, the Tigers weren't able to cross the finish line against any of the three, including in a pair of 6-3 losses to both Penn and Yale in the last week.
The Tigers will enter Wednesday night off the momentum of an 8-1 road win at Brown. Princeton got four victories from its talented freshman class, and it got at least one victory from every other class in the win.
Sophomore Cody Cortes leads Princeton with seven wins on the season, and he has gone 5-0 against Ivy League competition over the last four weeks. Freshman Gabriel Morgan is next on the win list with five victories on the season, including a 3-2 comeback thriller at Yale last Saturday.
Following Wednesday's match, Princeton will turn its attention to the final weekend of the Ivy League season. The Tigers will take on Cornell Friday night at 5:30, and then it will honor senior co-captain Ben Leizman prior to the regular season finale against Columbia.
