Sims, Currier Added To Tewaaraton Watchlist

Austin Sims and Zach Currier have been added to the Tewaaraton Trophy watchlist.
Sims, one of the top scoring midfielders in the country, and Currier, probably the top do-it-all midfielder in the country, were two of the eight players added to list, after 50 players were named earlier. There could be additions to the list later, before the final 25 nominees and ultimately five finalists are announced.
Sims leads Princeton with 16 goals, and he had back-to-back six-goal games against Hopkins and Quinnipiac, becoming the first Princeton player in 21 years to accomplish that feat.
Currier is second on the team in assists with 12 and has nine goals to go along them, for 21 points. Of course, those numbers hardly tell his story. Currier leads Princeton with 50 ground balls, or 39 more than the next-best total, and he has won 42 of 72 face-offs and caused six turnovers, tied for the team lead.
Princeton will open its Ivy League schedule Saturday at Penn at 3.
