Milestone Update: McBride, Sowers, Currier

With the end of the regular season, the Princeton men's lacrosse team can look ahead to the Ivy League tournament, which begins Friday at Yale. The second-seeded Tigers will play third-seeded Brown in the first semifinal, with face-off at 3:30, followed by top-seeded Yale against fourth-seeded Penn. The final is Sunday at noon.

Before the tournament, here is an update on where Princeton's Michael Sowers, Zach Currier and Gavin McBride stand relative to certain milestones:
Gavin McBride
* leads Division I with 51 goals
* is the only player in Division I with at least 50 goals
* ranks second at Princeton for goals in a season with 51, two behind the record of 53, set in 1996 by Jesse Hubbard
* has 101 career goals, making him one of 12 players in program history to reach 100 goals for his career
* has 66 points, eighth-best in Division I
* his 66 points tie for the eighth-best single-season total in program history
* has seven games this season of five or more goals (out of 14 played)
Zach Currier
* has 22 goals, 34 assists, 56 points, 17 caused turnovers, 114 ground balls and 93 for 168 facing off
* is the only player in program history with at least 50 points and 100 ground balls in a season
* is the only player in Division I with at least 50 points and 100 ground balls this season
* there are eight players in Division I with at least 100 ground balls - the other seven combined have 48 points
* ranks seventh in Division I in assists per game and 18th in Division I points per game
* second all-time at Princeton with 286 ground balls
* there are 21 players in Division I with at least 56 points; the other 20 average 24.5 ground balls, with no player in the group with more than 44
