July 19, 2017 | Men's Lacrosse
The Friends of Princeton Lacrosse held its annual golf outing Monday at Springdale Country Club.
Kevin Lowe, the Hall of Famer and all-time leading scorer at Princeton, was part of the winning foursome, along with Paul Murphy, Ben Strutt and James Mitchell. Lowe was also one of three golfers who were mic'd up, along with Mark Whaling and Greg Seaman.
The golf event ended with a cocktail hour and barbeque, as well as remarks from Ford Family Director of Athletics Mollie Marcoux Samaan and a Q&A with head coaches Chris Sailer and Matt Madalon. In addition, Princeton lacrosse honored Jon Hess, the two-time first-team All-America, three-time NCAA champion and Most Outstanding Player of the 1997 Final Four, as well as former president of the Friends of Princeton Lacrosse.
Hall-of-Famer Jesse Hubbard, who introduced Hess, called his former teammate "the ultimate Tiger." To read more about the ultimate Tiger in Wednesday's TigerBlog, click HERE.
In other Princeton men's lacrosse news, Tom Schreiber competed at the tryouts for the U.S. men's national team for the 2018 World Championships and was one of the players selected to the final pool of 49.
