2018-19 Princeton Hockey Schedule
ECAC Hockey Champion Princeton opens the 2018-19 season on Friday, Oct. 26 when it travels to Penn State. The two teams will battle it out again at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Dec. 15, in a rematch of the 2017-18 game that saw the Tigers knock off then-ranked No. 4 Penn State at the home of the Philadelphia Flyers.
Penn State is one of four non-conference teams that Princeton will face this season, while the Tigers visit UMass the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Four non-conference games will be held at Hobey Baker Rink: a two-game set with Arizona State on Dec. 7-8 and two against Maine on Dec. 27-28.
The Tigers' first home weekend of the season is on Nov. 9-10 when Union and Rensselaer come to town. Other conference action at Hobey Baker Rink includes: Quinnipiac on Dec. 1, Cornell/Colgate (Jan. 4-5), Harvard/Dartmouth (Jan. 11-12), Brown/Yale (Feb. 8-9) and Clarkson/St. Lawrence (Feb. 22-23).
Tickets for the 2018-19 season go on sale in September.
Princeton returns All-Americans Ryan Kuffner and Max Véronneau who finished third and fourth in the nation in scoring as juniors. Also back for his final season is Josh Teves who led all defenseman in the NCAA this past season in points per game. Ryan Ferland, the MVP of the ECAC Championship, returns for his sophomore season in goal. In total 73 percent of Princeton's scoring production returns with seven incoming players - three of which have been on the NHL Central Scouting List.
