Beyond The Stripes: Home Is Where The Heart Is
January 10, 2019 | General, Men's Squash, Women's Squash
Despite being the children of a Hall of Fame squash coach, neither Clark nor Grace Doyle had much interest in the support as young children living in New Orleans. They loved playing sports, but New Orleans simply wasn't a hotbed for squash, and both former Harvard coach Bill Doyle or former Princeton coxswain Mittie Doyle '86 were fine with watching their children grow up playing other sports.
In late August of 2005, everything in New Orleans changed. Hurricane Katrina created both a new present and a new future for the city and those who lived in it, and that included the Doyle siblings, who grew closer through that national disaster, and also eventually found a new sport to love (even if their last name was already plenty associated with that sport).
Check out their story in the latest episode of Beyond The Stripes: Home Is Where The Heart Is.
