EIVA RELEASE
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) announced its 2020 preseason coaches' poll Monday afternoon and the Princeton University men's volleyball team were chosen to repeat as conference champions.
Garnering seven first-place votes, the Tigers were picked first picked first out of the EIVA's eight teams. Princeton received 62 points in the poll; the team receiving the second-highest amount of votes was the Pennsylvania State University with 53.
"We are very flattered that the EIVA coaches have given us such a high preseason ranking," said head coach Sam Shweisky. "It is very exciting to know that so many coaches think so highly of what our program is capable of this coming season. That said, we know that the end of the season polls mean a whole lot more than the preseason polls. So, we will try and not pay too much attention to the polls and remain hungry and humble. We are very excited to head out west and play some top tier competition to start the season!"
