Fencers Sweep Sacred Heart Duals, Compete at December NAC Event in Utah

Princeton swept a total of nine bouts at the Sacred Heart Duals Sunday and also competed at USA Fencing's December North American Cup event in Utah over the weekend.

At Sacred Heart, the men's team went 5-0 with wins over Sacred Heart, NYU, Brown, Vassar and NJIT, and the women went 4-0 with wins over Sacred Heart, NYU, Brown and Vassar.

At the North American Cup, senior foil Samuel Barmann and freshman foil May Tieu each finished sixth in their respective events to lead current Tigers at the event, while a pair of alums, Soren Thompson '05 and Katharine Holmes '17, won the épée events.

The Tigers will resume competition in February at the Northwestern Duals.
