The eighth-ranked Princeton men's squash team made a huge statement last Sunday with a dominant 8-1 home victory over seventh-ranked Dartmouth. The Tigers will try to take out another higher-ranked program Friday night in their 2018-19 home finale when they face the fifth-ranked Columbia Lions on ESPN+. Each court will be streamed live, and you can watch them all on ESPN+ (see links above).
That match will open a final weekend of Ivy League competition for the Tigers, who could finish in a tie for third place with a perfect league weekend and a bit of help. Following Friday's home match against Columbia, the Tigers will travel to Ithaca, N.Y., for a road match at 14th-ranked Cornell. A victory over the Big Red should lock Princeton into the main draw for the upcoming CSA team championships, which will be held Feb. 15-17 at Yale.
Princeton has lost four straight to Columbia, which enters the weekend on a four-match win streak. This particular Tiger team will be entering the weekend with impressive momentum, considering the 8-1 rout of Dartmouth and a tight 5-4 loss to fourth-ranked Penn earlier last week. Junior Adhitya Raghavan has been a leader at the top with wins over both Penn and Dartmouth, while senior Clark Doyle, who will join his classmates in looking for a strong finale to their Jadwin careers, added a victory over the Big Green as well.
Princeton has won three in a row over Cornell, including once during the 2017 CSA team championship weekend.
