Vardaro Joins Rare Company With Fast Start

Alexander Vardaro began his college lacrosse career with two goals against Monmouth. In the four games that followed, he has had either one goal or one assist each time, leaving him with five goals and one assist for the year.

How rare is it for a Princeton men's lacrosse freshman to have at least one point in each of the first five games of his freshman year? More rare than you think.

In fact, Vardaro is just the eighth Princeton player in the last 30 years to do so. Who were the others?

Well, two of them are current Tigers. Vardaro may be the eighth in 30 years, but he's also the third in three years. Michael Sowers did so a two years ago, followed by Chris Brown last year.
