Huhmann Earns Back-to-Back EIVA Player of the Week Honors, Named GTP Athlete Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – George Huhmann earned his second straight EIVA Player of the Week award as Princeton secured its first EIVA regular season title this past weekend. Huhmann was also named the GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week, presented by Coach USA.
It's the eighth career weekly accolade for Huhmann and the third this season. The junior is on a streak of five consecutive matches with at least 10+ kills. On Friday vs. Saint Francis, the All-American produced 16 kills, six blocks, three digs and hit .600 in the process. He hit even better vs. Penn State with a .625 percentage along with 11 kills, four blocks and three digs.
Princeton captured home court for the EIVA Championships with its win over Saint Francis on Friday. The Tigers have won one EIVA crown (1998) in program history, reaching the NCAA Final Four. The Tigers host Saint Francis on Thursday (Apr. 18) at 8 p.m. The Championship match will be Saturday (Apr. 20) at 7 p.m.
