Sowers Named To The Tewaaraton 25-Player Nominee List
April 25, 2019 | Men's Lacrosse
Michael Sowers has been named one of 25 nominees for the Tewaaraton Trophy, given each year to the best player in college lacrosse.
Sowers is currently second in the country in assists per game and fourth in the country in points per game. He leads the Ivy League in both.
Still a junior, Sowers has already tied Princeton's career record for points in a career with 247. He's also 21st all-time in NCAA history in assists with 149, and he has the highest career points per game average (6.02) in the last 38 years, as well as the highest assists per game average (3.63) in the last 35 years.
Sowers and Princeton are at Cornell Saturday in their regular season finale, where a win by three goals or more would put the team in the Ivy League tournament.
