Stevens Named First-Team All-Freshman; Anderson, Roberts Also Honored

The Princeton men's lacrosse team relied heavily on its freshman class in 2019, and the CollegeCrosse.com All-Freshman team reflects that, as Princeton led the Ivy League with three selections.
Jake Stevens, who established himself from Day 1 as a force on the face-off wings and as a two-way middie, was named to the first-team. Luc Anderson and Cathal Roberts, both anchors of the defense, were named honorable mention.
Stevens finished his freshman season with 60 ground balls while leading Division I in face-off wing ground balls per game. He also added five goals and three assists as well as 11 caused turnovers.
Anderson, who also played shortstick D midfield, had 10 caused turnovers, 30 ground balls and two assists. Roberts started the second half of the season on close D and finished with six caused turnovers, 11 ground balls and an assist.
