August 26, 2019 | General
After the completion of the two week 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru - Princeton knew it had won a few medals. They had a good contingent in the games with 10 current and former student-athletes. How many of those 10 won medals? 10. Yes - every single Tiger brought home a medal - 13 medals in fact. But not just 13 medals - 10 gold medals!
The NCAA recently announced the NCAA student-athlete representation for the Pan American Games and Princeton made the top five in most Team USA medalists by school with eight. Stanford had the most with 18, followed by Southern California with 13, UCLA with nine and Princeton and Cal tying with eight. To note - the NCAA count included just NCAA sponsored sports.
