No. 14 Princeton Takes Care of Wagner and Navy

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 14 Princeton Tigers swept its two games at the DeNunzio Pool on Saturday vs. the Wagner Seahawks (9-3) and Navy Midshipmen (12-10).

After the Seahawks registered the first goal of the game, they were held off the scoreboard by Princeton for over 10 minutes. In that time, the Tigers scored four times and went into halftime with a 5-2 lead.
Princeton pitched a shutout in the third quarter as Antonio Knez produced six saves. The Tigers picked up two goals and weren't pushed the rest of the way.
Four different players had at least two goals for the Tigers while Knez nabbed 13 stops in the victory.

The Tigers held off a Midshipmen rally in the final quarter to earn the 12-10 victory. Trailing by four as the fourth frame got underway, the Midshipmen ran four of the next five tallies to close within one, 11-10, with 1:42 to left.
This Miles Cole tally gave Princeton a huge insurance tally and secured the victory.
The Tigers finished the first quarter with the final two goals to take a 4-2 lead after eight minutes. Princeton extended their advantage to four, 7-3, at the break. The Tigers continue to pour it on in the third stanza with three more goals and held a 10-6 lead as the fourth stanza got started.
Princeton heads west to the MFPSF Invitational next weekend in Los Angeles, Calif.
