Huhmann of Men’s Volleyball Named EIVA Offensive Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association announced its weekly awards Monday afternoon and senior George Huhmann of the No. 10 Princeton University men's volleyball team was honored as the league's Offensive Player of the Week.
"I'm really proud of George for getting off to such a strong start to the season," said head coach Sam Shweisky. "I'm looking forward to seeing him build off this and what he can do moving forward."
On the week Huhmann, who has now an EIVA weekly award nine times in his career, totaled 29 kills, six service aces, six digs and five blocks last week.
Against the No. 12 University of Southern California on Thursday, January 2 he had 23 kills on a .318 hitting percentage along with three aces and two blocks. On Sunday, December 29 Huhmann finished with six kills, three service aces and three blocks against the No. 8 University of California, Irvine.
Huhmann and the Tigers will be in action next at the University of Charleston (0-2) on Friday, December 10 at 7 p.m. inside the Wehrle Innovation Center in the EIVA opener.
