March 09, 2020 | General, Women's Ice Hockey
Sophomore Sarah Fillier, voted the Most Outstanding Player of the ECAC tournament after sixth-ranked Princeton's sweep of No. 7 Clarkson and No. 1 Cornell at Cornell over the weekend, has been selected as the SuburbanTransit GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week.
Fillier had a goal in each game and a helper against Clarkson, scoring the goal to get Princeton on the board in the second period against Cornell after the Big Red scored twice in the first three minutes of the game to build a 2-0 lead.
In a season that has seen her selected as a top-10 finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award, first-team All-ECAC, first-team All-Ivy, and one of three finalists for ECAC Best Forward and for ECAC Player of the Year, Fillier has matched exactly her freshman-year totals of 22 goals and 35 assists to lead Princeton in both categories in both seasons. With 70 career assists and 114 career points, Fillier is more than halfway to the Princeton career records for each.
