Princeton sent a split squad out two a pair of meets, competing at the Joe Piane Invitational at Notre Dame and the Paul Short Run at Lehigh to open October.
In South Bend, the Tigers took on a loaded field featuring 13 of the USTFCCCA Top-30, and No. 30 Princeton finished 16th overall as a team. Abby Loveys was 72nd (17:16.9), Caroline Timm (17:27.2) was 100th, Angie Allen (17:27.7) was right behind in 101st, and Gillian Wagner took 112th in a time of 17:33.8.
Lucca Fulkerson (17:34.1) was right outside the scoring group in 115th, as was Lexi Allen (17:34.6) in 118th,
"This was our first big test of the season, and we handled it well," said head coach Brad Hunt. "There's room for improvement, but now we have a better idea of what it will take for our young team to rise to the challenge at Heps, Regionals and NCAAs."
In Bethlehem at the Paul Short Run, Princeton competed in the Open race, claiming three of the top eight finishes.
The Tigers were stacked together, claiming the 6-7-8 spots. Lucy Huelskamp (22:02.1) was sixth, Tsion Yared (22:03.5) was seventh, and Luci Doogan (22:05.9) was eighth.
