Stevens Makes Canadian National Team Debut Against Schreiber, Ambler; Tigers Play Towson, Drexel
October 15, 2021 | Men's Lacrosse
If you're interested in seeing the past and present of Princeton men's lacrosse, then Baltimore is the place to be this weekend.
It begins Friday night, when current Tiger Jake Stevens makes his debut with the Canadian national team, as it takes on the United States in the Fall Classic at the U.S. Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md. Stevens will be playing against former Tigers Tom Schreiber and Ryan Ambler, who will be playing for the American team in a game that starts at 7 and can be seen on the Lax Sports Network.
Stevens, a do-it-all middie who is very much in the mold of another Tiger/Canadian great, Zach Currier, will have a quick turnaround as he will join his Princeton teammates Saturday for two games, to be played at Boys' Latin School.
Princeton will open against Towson at 11 and then play Drexel at 1. Princeton is playing for the first time since it was 5-0 and ranked No. 2 or No. 3 in the country when the 2020 season was cancelled due to the pandemic.
