No. 11 Princeton Secures 2-0 NWPC Day

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 11 Princeton Tigers collected a 2-0 Northeast Water Polo Conference day with victories over the No. 11 Harvard Crimson and MIT Engineers.
No. 11 Princeton 12, No. 11 Harvard 9
Harvard recorded the first three goals of the game, but Princeton roared back with the final four tallies of the first quarter highlighted by two from Yurian Quinones. The Crimson scored the first goal of the second stanza, but Princeton rallied to take a 6-5 advantage into halftime.
After Harvard tied the game to start the second half, three consecutive goals by the Tigers put head coach Dustin Litvak's squad ahead, 9-6. The Crimson got as close as two, but Princeton kept its distance to secure a 12-9 decision.

The two squads exchanged six goals with neither team leading by more than one in the first quarter. Princeton allowed just one tally in the second quarter with 42 seconds to go, taking a 7-4 lead into the break. That was the last time MIT scored. The Engineers were shut out in the second half as Princeton scored seven times to earn the double-digit victory. Mason Killion paced the Tigers' offense with four tallies.
