2022 SCHEDULE
PRINCETON, N.J. – Highlighted by 12 opportunities to see the team at home along with several matchups with national powers, the Princeton University men's volleyball team announced its 2022 schedule Tuesday.
"We are so excited to get back in the gym and the guys cannot wait to compete," said Head Coach Sam Shweisky. "We are super enthusiastic to start out the season with our annual west coast swing and look forward to playing national powerhouses UCLA, Pepperdine, USC, and CSUN. This year UCSD will come to play us at home which will be fantastic to have a top tier Big West team in our own gym! Spring break brings us out to Loyola-Chicago and also sees Ball State come play us at home. Of course, the regular EIVA season will be super exciting as well with home and away match ups with Penn State, George Mason, fellow Ivy foe Harvard and all the eastern powerhouse top teams! We can't wait to take the floor again and represent Princeton Athletics and Princeton University. Hungry, humble, and ready to go!"
Princeton opens 2022 with four-straight matches on the west coast; Jan. 12 at USC, Jan. 15 at UCLA, Jan. 17 at Pepperdine, and Jan. 19 at Cal-State Northridge.
The Tigers then host Daemen in their home opener on Jan. 23, then return to Dillon Gymnasium to host UC San Diego on Jan. 29. Four-straight matches on the road follow as Princeton plays at Penn State on Feb. 4, at Saint Francis on Feb. 5, at NJIT on Feb. 12, and at St. Francis Brooklyn on Feb. 13.
Charleston will then visit Dillon Gymnasium on Feb. 18 and Feb. 19, before Princeton plays at George Mason on Feb. 26. Back-to-back matches at Harvard follow on Mar. 4 and Mar. 5, before the Tigers take on Loyola-Chicago on Mar. 9.
A five-match homestand follows as the Tigers host Ball State on Mar. 12, Penn State on Mar. 18, St. Francis (PA) on Mar. 19, St. Francis Brooklyn on Mar. 23, and NJIT on Mar. 26. Princeton plays at Fairleigh Dickinson on Apr. 2, before closing out the regular season at home against George Mason on Apr. 9, along with Sacred Heart on Apr. 15 and 16.
Postseason begins with the EIVA Championships from Apr. 20 – Apr. 23, with the NCAA Play-In Game taking place on Apr. 29. The NCAA Championships take place from May 3 -7 in Los Angeles, California, and will be hosted by UCLA.
