Fiona Max To Compete At NCAA Championships Saturday

Freshman Fiona Max will cap her debut season at the NCAA Division I Women's Cross Country Championships on Saturday, racing at 10:20 a.m. on ESPNU.

Other recent individual qualifiers to NCAA for the Tigers include Melia Chittenden (2019) and Gabi Forrest (2017). In 2018, the Tigers qualified as a team and finished 21st.

Max finished 6th at Regionals to lead the Tigers and earn her trip to Tallahassee. That result followed a second-place run at Heps as well as an individual title at the Princeton Invite.

"This is a great way for Fiona to put a bow on her rookie season," said head coach Brad Hunt. "She is well-deserving of a place in this field and a chance to compete at the highest level of collegiate cross country. This is just the beginning for her, and I am excited to watch her compete on Saturday."
