No. 13 Princeton defeats Brown, Advances to NWPC Finals on Sunday

Princeton, N.J. - The No.13 Princeton Tigers dispatched Ivy League rival Brown 14-9, punching their ticket to the NWPC finals on Sunday at DeNunzio Pool.

In the opening frame, the Tigers tallied three goals to the Bears two.

In the second quarter, Princeton caught fire, scoring three goals in a row to take a four point lead. Brown answered with a three goal scoring streak of their own, narrowing the Tigers lead to one. Princeton would carry a one goal advantage into halftime, leading 7-6.

Brown started off the scoring in the third period, pulling even with the Tigers at seven a-piece. Princeton would go on to score three goals in the period, taking a 10-8 lead in the final frame.

In the fourth quarter, the Tigers opened up a three goal lead and didn't look back, as Princeton cruised to a 14-9 victory.

Next up: Princeton will take on Saint Francis Brooklyn in the NWPC finals tomorrow. The Tigers split their two matchups with the Terriers.
