PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's volleyball team returns to Dillon Gymnasium this weekend to wrap up regular season play against Columbia University on Friday, November 12, and Cornell University on Saturday, November 13.
Prior to the Tigers' match against Cornell, a short ceremony will be held to honor Princeton's Class of 2022, Julia Schner and Grace Klepetka. Princeton's match against Columbia will also be a Pride night.
Princeton is coming off a 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 27-25) victory over Yale University on Saturday, November 6, in New Haven Connecticut.
As a team, the Tigers lead the Ivy League in kills per set (13.97) and assists per set (13.03). Junior Lindsey Kelly leads the conference and ranks third in the nation in assists per set (11.43), and Schner also tops the Ivy League in blocks per set (1.19). Junior Elena Montgomery ranks second in the Ivy League in both points per set (4.26) and kills per set (3.93). Junior Cameron Dames leads the team in digs per set (4.69), and sophomore Krystal Raymundo leads the Tigers in service aces with 20.
The Tigers and Lions last met on Friday, October 15, inside Levien Gymnasium and Princeton came out on top, 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 26-24). Princeton most recently faced Cornell on Friday, October 8, inside Newman Arena and earned a 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 34-32) victory.
Columbia
The Lions are coming off a 3-1 (25-17, 25-20, 21-25, 28-26) loss to Dartmouth College on Saturday, November 6, inside Levien Gymnasium.
Columbia is led in kills per set by Noelle Foster (3.94), assists per set by Cadence Gronski (10.30), service aces by Vanessa Pam (31), digs per set by Vanessa Pam (3.89), and blocks per set by Soah Franklin (1.00).
Cornell
Most recently, the Big Red defeated Harvard University 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-21) in Ithaca, New York, on Saturday, November 6.
Madison Baptiste leads the Big Red in kills per set (2.79), Emma Worthington in assists per set (8.42), Kate Straiton in service aces (23), Jackie Baker in digs per set (3.61), and Camryn Carlo in blocks per set (1.05).
