Welcome Back, Tigers!
On April 22, Princeton Athletics announced that it has received approval from Princeton University to move into Ivy Phase Four which allows for a return to local competition. The Tigers are now permitted to begin competition in spring sports under very specific health and safety protocols and guidelines, with the first scheduled events set for April 24 as the men's heavyweight rowing, men's lightweight rowing, women's lightweight rowing and women's open rowing programs all have scheduled road events for that day. Men's and women's track and field are scheduled to begin competition on April 25 at home.
"We are all thrilled that the Tigers will be back in action this weekend," said Ford Family Director of Athletics Mollie Marcoux Samaan '91. "I'm truly grateful for the resilience, discipline and leadership of our remarkable student-athletes and for our amazing team of coaches, administrators and tremendous partners across campus whose hard work and passion have helped make this possible. It will be particularly rewarding to provide some of our seniors the opportunity to wear the orange and black again! I'm sure they will make us proud. Go Tigers!"
Currently the softball, men's heavyweight rowing, women's lightweight rowing, women's lightweight rowing, women's open rowing, men's track and field, and women's track and field programs have events scheduled. An up-to-date schedule of events can be found here or on each sport's respective schedule pages.
Spectators and media will not be allowed at home Princeton Athletics events for the remainder of the Spring term. Attendance at away events is determined by the host institution.
