Cookie Krongard Featured In US Lax Magazine

In the long history of Princeton men's lacrosse, there haven't been many who have done it better than Cookie Krongard. There are none who've done it as long as he has.
Krongard, a first-team All-American who graduated in 1961, has played in the Princeton alumni game into his 80s, jumping in the goal and facing shots from players, some of whose parents weren't born when he played for the Tigers. If that's not enough, he tried out for Major League Lacrosse - at the age of 67.
As a junior in 1960, he scored the game-winning goal and made 20 saves in a he did make 20 saves in a 6-5 win over Cornell to win the Ivy League championship. AÂ Â three-year starter for the Tigers, he led Princeton to a 14-0-1 record in Ivy League games in his career. His resume includes being a two-time first-team All-Ivy League selection, a 1961 first-team All-American and a 1985 inductee into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame, shortly after his brother Buzzy, Princeton Class of 1958, was.
