No. 12 Men's Water Polo Opens Weekend With Impressive Victory over No. 14 California Baptist

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 12 Princeton Tigers used a 10-goal second half to defeat the No. 14 California Baptist Lancers, 16-10, at DeNunzio Pool.
The first half ran at a fast past with 12 total goals and six ties. No team led by more than a tally with the contest tied at 6-all at the break.
Princeton ran off the first three goals of the second half before a tally from California Baptist set the score at 9-7 with 3:28 left in the third quarter. Head coach Dustin Litvak's squad didn't slow down, recording four of the last five goals of the stanza, taking a 13-8 advantage into the fourth frame.
The Tigers put the contest away with three consecutive tallies to begin the final eight minutes of action, eventually taking home a 16-10 victory.
The win gave Princeton its fourth of the season and first over a ranked opponent. Day two of the Princeton Invitational continues tomorrow as the Tigers battle No. 3 Stanford (11:45 a.m.) and Johns Hopkins (4:45 p.m.).
