Knez Ties Single-Game Record; Men's Water Polo Collects Two Wins

ANNAPOLIS, MD. – The Princeton Tigers registered 33 combined goals, earning two victories to start the 2021 season at the Navy Invitational.
Princeton 21, Mt. St. Mary's 10
The Tigers registered three of the first four goals and led 5-1 after eight minutes of action. Princeton put the game away with a 10-0 push between the first and second quarters, not allowing Mt. St. Mary's to score for 11 minutes and 26 seconds. Princeton wasn't threatened the rest of the way.

Much like the previous contest, Princeton scored three of the first four tallies and led 3-1 after the first stanza. The Tigers expanded their advantage to five (6-1) before three straight from the Colonials set the contest at 6-4. This time, it was head coach Dustin Litvak's squad to go on a run, registering three straight goals to hold a 9-4 lead at the break. The Tigers' defense was impressive in the second half, allowing just one tally from the Colonials. 13 of Knez's saves came in the final 16 minutes.
Princeton finishes the weekend with two contests tomorrow vs. No. 3 California (8 a.m.) and Johns Hopkins (11:45 a.m.).
