Fencers in Contention for Ivy Titles Entering Sunday's Final Day

Both Princeton fencing teams remain in contention for Ivy League titles heading into Sunday's final day at the Ivy League round-robin at Brown.
The Tiger women, ranked No. 1 in the nation, were 21-6 winners over No. 10 Penn before defeating Brown 22-5 and Yale 18-9. The other three highest-ranked teams are ahead on Sunday, with the Tigers facing No. 2 Columbia at 10 a.m., No. 4 Harvard at 11:15 a.m., and No. 9 Cornell at 1 p.m. Princeton and Harvard are 3-0, with Columbia 3-1, Penn 2-1, Yale 1-3, Cornell 0-3 and Brown 0-4.
Five fencers split Princeton's 23-4 women's saber record on Saturday, with Maia Chamberlain going 6-0, Chloe Fox-Gitomer going 5-0, and Ryan Jenkins going 5-1 to lead the way. Princeton went 19-8 in women's foil with Tinney Mak leading at 6-2. In women's épée, Princeton went 19-8, with Lola Constantino going 4-0 and Jessica Lin 5-2 to lead the team.
Princeton's men, ranked No. 7 in the nation, came up a bout short against No. 8 Penn, 14-13, before a 17-10 win over No. 11 Yale. Princeton went 10-8 in all three weapons on Saturday. In men's saber, Ronald Anglade and Andrew Johnson each went 4-2. In men's foil, Jasper Levy went 4-2, and in men's épée, Michael Bissinger led at 5-1.
Columbia leads the men's standings at 2-0 with Harvard at 2-1, the Tigers and Penn both at 1-1, and Yale at 0-3. Princeton has both of the teams in front of it on the schedule for Sunday, facing No. 2 Columbia at 2:15 p.m. and No. 4 Harvard at 3:30.
