No. 11 Men's Water Polo Secures Two Wins To Open 2022

ANNAPOLIS - The No. 11 Men's Water Polo Team opened up its 2022 season with two victories to begin the Navy Invitational.
No. 11 Princeton 18, George Washington 10
The Tigers opened up the scoring with four of the first five goals of the contest and led by as many as four in the first half. The Colonials closed the gap to two three times in the third quarter before a goal from Roko Pozaric set the score at 11-8 after 24 minutes. Princeton wasn't threatened in the final frame, registering three of the first four tallies and eventually pulling away for an 18-10 decision.

A close first quarter saw the Midshipmen take a 1-0 advantage after eight minutes. The second stanza saw five goals reach the back of the cage. After Navy snagged a 2-0 lead, Princeton quickly tied the battle at 2-all before the score was settled at 3-all at halftime. The two non-conference foes exchanged goals before Keller Maloney and Pozaric tallies gave the Tigers' the win.
