Six From Women’s Rugby Named NIRA All-Academic

PRINCETON, N.J. – Six members of the Princeton University women's rugby team were honored for their work in the classroom by the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA), as the organization recently announced its All-Academic Team.

The six Tigers on the NIRA All-Academic list were Brooke Beers, Leilani Bender, Elizabeth Polubinski, Sofie Grouws, Sophia Villacorta and Kateri Espinosa.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale). Nominated student-athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed on the nomination form.
