Whitfield & Shweisky to Represent USA at FIVB Boys U19 World Championship

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Incoming first year Tristan Whitfield was one of 12 players selected and Princeton University men's volleyball Head Coach Sam Shweisky will serve as Team Leader for Team USA at the FIVB Boys U19 World Championship.

The FIVB Boys U19 World Championship takes place in San Juan, Argentina, from Aug. 2 -11. Twelve players were selected from a roster of 20 that trained at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center on July 23-29.

Whitfield is one of eight players returning from the 2022 Boys U19 team that won the Pan Am Cup for the first time and qualified for the 2023 World Championship.

The USA is one of 20 teams competing and will play pool matches against Costa Rica, Egypt, Argentina and Serbia.
