December 10, 2024 | Men's Volleyball
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University men's volleyball team released its 2025 schedule on Tuesday, with an exciting competition slate featuring nationally-ranked opponents and familiar EIVA rivals as the Tigers return to Dillon Gymnasium this year.
Last season, Princeton made the EIVA quarterfinals, after reaching the finals in 2023 and winning the EIVA title in 2022. The Tigers ended 2024 ranked 18th in the AVCA polls. This year, the Tigers will be looking to build on past successes and search for their fourth EIVA title all-time.
The Tigers will begin the new year with a trip to California, where they will compete in a scrimmage against Masters in Santa Clarita on January 7th.
Princeton will officially open the season against USC on January 11th before flying to Hawaii, who ranked fifth in the last AVCA poll, for games on the 15th and 17th of the month.
Opening the action in Dillon, Princeton will play St. Francis on January 24th before staying home for competitions against Queens and FDU on January 26th and 31st.
The Tigers will begin February with a matchup against LIU (Feb. 7), before traveling for a series of contests on the road. On February 14th, the Tigers will play NJIT before taking the trip down to West Virginia to play Charleston on the 21st and 22nd.
Closing out the month, Princeton and NJIT will face off again, with the contest set for February 28th this time in Dillon Gym
March will feature a home matchup against Lincoln Memorial on the first, before the Tigers head out to the West Coast again to play UCSD (Mar. 10), CSUN (Mar. 11), and Long Beach State (Mar. 15). Long Beach State, the 2024 Big West Tournament Champions, ended last season ranked second in the final AVCA poll.
The Tigers will face Daemen in Dillon on March 22nd, before facing Sacred Heart, on the road on March 28 and 29.
Dillon will be busy in April, as no. 14 George Mason visits on the fourth and fifth, before Ivy rival Harvard visits Princeton on April 11th and 12th.
A trip to University Park to play no. 8 Penn State will close out the regular season on April 18th and 19th, as the Tigers and the Nittany Lions continue their longtime rivalry.
The EIVA Tournament will be held on April 23rd through 26th, with the top EIVA seed playing host. The NCAA tournament will be held on the campus of The Ohio State from May 6th through 10th.
