No. 10 Men's Volleyball Falls to Sacred Heart In Five Sets

PRINCETON, NJ - The No. 10 Princeton's men's volleyball team faced Sacred Heart in a five-set match, ultimately losing 3-2 (25-22, 27-25, 21-25, 31-33, 10-15). Ben Harrington topped the team in both kills, amassing 23, and points, totaling 26. Ryan Vena secured the highest number of service aces for the Tigers this evening, notching 3. Nolan Kelly took the lead in assists, tallying 45, and also in blocks with a tally of 3.
The Tigers started strong with Nyherowo's kill giving them a brief lead of 6-4 in the first set, later boosted by Ryan Vena's service ace. Sacred Heart rallied, tying the score at 9-9, leading to a closely contested set with neither team gaining a significant advantage until Princeton edged ahead 21-20 and secured the set 25-22.
In the second set, Sacred Heart took an early 11-8 lead, but Princeton fought back, tying the score at 21-21 and securing the set 27-25 with a decisive kill by Tristan Whitfield.
The third set saw Sacred Heart taking control, leading 18-13 at one point and eventually winning 25-21.
Princeton regained momentum in the fourth set, holding a slim lead until Sacred Heart surged ahead 20-16. Princeton fought back, tying the score at 24-24, but ultimately lost the set 33-31.
In the fifth set, Sacred Heart maintained a lead, ultimately winning 15-10 despite Princeton's efforts.
