March 10, 2024 | Men's Squash
A season that saw the Princeton men's squash team win its first Ivy League title since 2013 came to a close on Sunday at the Specter Center in Philadelphia as the CSA individual championships wrapped up.
Avi Agarwal played the Tigers' final match of the 2023-24 campaign, falling to Yale's Tad Carney in three games in the Molloy East final. Princeton had five players in the tournament, with Karim Elbarbary making the Pool Trophy quarterfinals, Thomas Rosini winning a consolation final against Hollis Robertson in the Pool Trophy draw, Alastair Cho making the semifinals in the Molloy North draw, and Agarwal making the Molloy East final.
As a team, Princeton finished the season 10-3 overall and 5-1 in the Ivy, defeating Penn 5-4 in the final men's dual match in Jadwin Gym to secure the Ivy title share. The Tigers and Quakers met again in the CSA Potter Cup team tournament semifinals, with the eventual champion Quakers getting by the Tigers 5-4.
From the lineup in that last dual match, Princeton graduates Elbarbary from the No. 1 position and Cho from the No. 5 position with the rest of the lineup able to return. Elbarbary, Robertson and Rosini, the top three players on the ladder, earned All-Ivy honors.
