Mackesy Named To USILA Team Of The Week

Coulter Mackesy's first goal of Princeton's Southern swing this past weekend became the No. 2 Play of the Day on SportsCenter. There were, however, many others to choose from as the Tiger attackman put up big numbers all weekend.

Mackesy scored five goals and had two assists as Princeton defeated North Carolina Friday night and then added two more goals and two more assists in Sunday's loss at Duke. The combined seven goals and four assists earned Mackesy a USILA Team of the Week honor.

With his big weekend, Mackesy now has 95 career goals, leaving him five short of becoming the 15th Princeton player to reach the 100-mark.

Princeton is now ranked 14th in the USILA Coaches' poll and 15th in both the Inside Lacrosse media poll and the USA Lacrosse Magazine poll. The Tigers will play their fourth straight road game against a ranked team this coming Sunday, when they travel to Rutgers at noon for the Meistrell Cup. The Scarlet Knights are ranked 16th in all three polls.
