McMeekin, Mackesy Win Ivy Player Of The Week Awards; Ivy Tournament Ticket Info

Andrew McMeekin and Coulter Mackesy swept the final Ivy League Player of the Week Awards for the 2024 season.

McMeekin was named the Ivy Defensive Player of the Week after his 20 for 26, 17 groundball performance in the 15-8 win over Yale Saturday. McMeekin, who tied his career high in face-off wins in a game and set a new career high in GBs, is now up to a .551 face-off winning percentage for the year and is over 100 groundballs, with 102.

Mackesy had five goals in the game, including two within a minute in the third quarter as the Tigers broke the game open. He now has 117 career goals, one away from tying B.J. Prager for eighth all-time at Princeton.

The win gave Princeton the No. 2 seed in this weekend's Ivy League tournament at Cornell, where the Tigers open with a rematch against the Bulldogs in the first semifinal Friday at 6, followed by top-seeded Cornell and Penn. The final is Sunday at 1.

ITHACA, N.Y. - Tickets to the 2024 Ivy League Men's Lacrosse Tournament at Schoellkopf Field on the campus of Cornell University are now on sale to the general public.
