Roan Alviar '28 Makes USA U21 Volleyball Team

PRINCETON, NJ - The USA Volleyball and its National Team Development Program announced the 12 athletes that will compete for the U.S. at the NORCECA Men's U21 Continental Championship from June 11-16 in Nogales, Mexico.

Among the 12 selected was Roan Alviar, an incoming freshman to the Princeton men's volleyball program and Class of 2028. Alviar, the 5'11" libero hails from Hayward, California and the Northern California USAV Region.
Tristan Whitfield and Jameson Vaccaro were both selected as alternates for the team.
"We are so proud of Roan for being selected to travel with the USA U-21 team and represent team USA in the NORCECA Men's U21 Championships in Mexico," said head coach Sam Shweisky. "Roan has been working incredibly hard to make this team the last several years and to see all of his hard work pay off is very excited to see! We wish him and the rest of the USA team well. Also huge congratulations to Tristan Whitfield and Jameson Vaccaro for being named to the 21 man training roster for this event. It is very exciting to have three athletes competing at this level for USA Volleyball."
