Ambrose Engling '28 Selected to U19 Beach National Team Training Block

PRINCETON, NJ - This week, Ambrose Engling '28 is participating in the 2024 U19 Beach National Team Training Block #1. Engling, a 6'7" right-side/outside hitter from Madison, Wisconsin, is set to represent Princeton's Class of 2028.

After the trials from June 17-20, the first team, second team, and alternates will be announced. The top-performing pair will earn the opportunity to represent the U.S. at the FIVB Beach U19 World Championship.

"We are so thrilled for Ambrose to have been selected to participate in the USA U19 beach training block," said head coach Sam Shweisky. "It is an extremely high level of play that he will be exposed to with great athletes and coaches. Cross training on the beach has been a proven method by numerous of our sport's top players, so we are very excited to see how this experience will expand Ambrose's skill set in the indoor game. We can't wait to get him in the gym with us this fall!"
