Marge Donovan ‘22 Named To U.S. Women’s Box National Team

SPARKS, Md. – Princeton University women's lacrosse alumna Marge Donovan '22 has been named to the U.S. Women's Box National Team.

Donovan was one of 23 players selected to represent the U.S. at the World Lacrosse Box Championships from Sept. 20-29 in Utica, New York. The U.S. will be one of 10 nations competing in the women's championship, the first time World Lacrosse has hosted a women's box world championship.

At Princeton, Donovan holds program records for draw controls in a career (214), draw controls in a season (112) and draw controls in a game (12, vs. Yale on May 8, 2022). In 2022 she was a second-team Inside Lacrosse All-American, a second-team USA Lacrosse All-American, a third-team Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) All-American, a first-team IWLCA All-Region selection the Ivy League Defender of the Year and the Ivy League Tournament Most Outstanding Player. Donovan collected All-Ivy honors three times in her career and was named to the Inside Lacrosse All-Rookie Team in 2018.
